Brake pedal repels my foot

The title says it all folks. I have an 08 pathy just hit 50k when I hit he brakes hard at all it makes a terrible grind and the pedal literally almost forces my foot off the pedal. I'm no Fred flinstone and I'm not pushing like an idiot but I know for a fact this is not supposed to be happening. Pedals slightly soft and I want to replace the brakes all the way around now. Idc what the pads look like or if the rotors are in spec I flat out don't feel safe. So I'm doing all four rotors and pads any advice on which ones I have seen some previous posts on some purchase recommendations but still aren't sure. My local advanced wants 300+ for pads and rotors front and rear ( thermoquiet cereamic pads and Wagner rotors )

I think you should inspect the brakes before you replace them. Is the grind a hard metal grind, like the pads are down to metal, or perhaps are you hearing the ABS actuator working, which would explain why you are feeling the action in the brake pedal. Typcially the front brakes on these Pathfinders usually last 60000 miles or more and the rears 70000 miles or better.

That said, to answer your question: I would recommend you check out Rockauto.com. You might get a better deal on parts than from Advance Auto. Wager rotors are good and so are their Thermoquiet ceramic pads. My personal preferance is Akebono Pro ACT ceramic pads or Raybestos Professional Series Advanced Technology pads. Akebono has been a long-time, OEM supplier of brakes to Nissan; their pads are as good as original equipment if not better and they come with new hardware and lube. I have their pads on two Pathfinders and have been very happy with them. I have Wagner rotors on the front of one and Raybestos Professional Series Advanced Technology rotors on the front of the other; both still have the original rear rotors on them with over 135,000 miles on them.

I'm concerned about brake dust as well, I'm on stock rims now and after about 2k miles my front rims are starting to dust up looks like hell and I hate it haha... Definitely going to check out the Rock got my spectra cu2807 from them arrived in great shape for cheap. But yeah the dust is of some concern

205.22 after shipping. Which will vary depending on where you live, in my case shipping is 38 dollars. May sound like a lot but the local stores want about 120 dollars more asking for over 300 dollars for rotors and pads all the way around (napa, Conway, advanced) didn't try pep boys figured they would be about the same as the other three. So far the rocks gottem all beat

Sounds about right. They kick the sh!t out of Canadian parts stores, that's for sure.
