I just completed my spark plug replacement as well as valve cover gasket replacement. I know have 2 issues.

1: rough/hard idle at park/stop. I am going to try the idle relearning to see if this works.

2nd: when I went to pull out of the drive way I pressed the brakes and it didnt want to stop and the brake pedal was hard as all hell to press. Any suggestions as to what would have caused this?

items completed today:
Throttle body cleaned, MAF cleaned
Plugs changed
Valve cover gasket replaced.

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

There is is vacuum hose that goes from the brake master cylinder to the intake. Make sure it is connected at both ends.

Thanks for the response! Will double check this evening when I get back to it.
Any other ideas/reasons you could think of?
Thanks again

I would agree that it's likely that you left the hose to the vacuum brake booster disconnected, which would cause both of those issues. If it happens to be connected, the check valve on the brake booster has been known to fail on some R51's. It's an inexpensive part from Nissan.

Ooops.... that is exactly what was causing the issues. It wasnt attached to the back of the intake.

Thanks guys!!!! All is great now, drives great!
