I have a 2008 PF LE. Stock tire size 265/65/17. I have been riding on 245/70/17 for nearly two years with no issue that I can detect.

Last week I got a nail in side wall of a rear tire and did manage to plug it but I don't trust it, plus the front tires have maybe a year left on them. Ran into a guy who has a nearly like new set of Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure Kevlar tires with rims for $300. Don't need rims but can sell to recoup some money. They are size 245/75/17... same skinnier tire I've been riding on compared to recommended size but now I'd be going to an even taller tire. Would putting 75s on a PF with recommended 65s cause an issue or would it not be an issue at all?

According to the tire size calculator, the 75s are 3% bigger.

I think the only issue will be your speedometer reading will be off. I'm not sure about rubbing.

Should be okay if your suspension is still good. Stock on 06 S model is 245 75 16. Aside from sort of skinny tall tires, you will be better in snow and potholes

I just had a set of Goodyear Duratracs installed. 255/75 R17 fit with the stock suspension. It’s a close fit, but the fit all the same. It raised the whole rig at least an inch or two over my 265/65R17 Hankook Dynapros I had on there. So far, they ride great!
