The Nissan Path

This is probably a dumb question, and I'm sure its been discussed somewhere on here but after about 60 minutes of searching, I figure I'll just ask... got an 06 Pathy last week, love it by the way... looking to beef up the tires. Its our Family vehicle, so I doubt I will lift or get too crazy till we get something else years down the road. Just trying to figure out what size/brand would give it a little bit of a meaner look and not compromise ride smoothness or rub the wheel well on tight turns. Winter is a few months away, so also looking for something to help in the snow. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Its got the stock 16" wheels I believe by the way. Guess I should've looked at the size that's on there now, but I know there's some more room in the wheel well. Thanks in advance.

Of course, a few minutes after posting this I find a topic similar to the question I asked. Anyway, still wouldn't mind hearing suggestions...

FYI, the heavier the tire, the more fuel you'll burn to get them rolling. I have Goodyear Wrangler Territory's... very similar to the Duratracs and noticed my mileage has gone down considerably.

I like my hankook dynapro's at/m. Had them on my titan and now got them on the PF 265/70-16

I have been using Hercules Terra Trac.

Very nice tire,used them on my 2008 & 1998 PF. Worked great for off road, towing, etc.

thanks for the replies. I'll have to take a look at them. I found some BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain T/A 265/70/16. Really like the look of them and seem to get good reviews. Ill check out the ones you recomended aswell.

So how big of tires can you go with that doesn't give you any trouble? I have 265/70/16. or should I stay with the original size?

Has anyone run the Nitto Terra Grabbler's? I found them at Walmart for
$141 plus $12 for install each. Just wondering how they hold up. The ratings seem to be good but, personal experiences are always better.

The general opinion on these tires is: Don't bother.

Get Goodyear Duratracs instead.

Ill second that on the Nitto.....Not worth the money! I am very happy with my Hankook Dynapro!!!

I've come close to purchasing the Nitto in the past, but there is such a huge range of personal reviews out there that I was always scared away. Some people absolutely praise them, others who think they are absolute garbage after owning them.

I've had the Duratracs for almost a year now. So far, no problems. They do ride a bit soft, and I'm not so sure such an aggressive tread would be of much use if only driving on paved roads. If I only drove on the pavement, I'd most likely go back to the Revo, which performed great on pavement & only "okay" off the pavement.

I just bought some Yokohama Geolander A/T-S.

Bought them while on a road trip actually. Put almost 2k on them so far. Wear is great, look brand spanking new. MPG has stayed the same vs OEM.

I like them quite a bit so far and it still has a little more aggressive look to them. Best of luck.
