Meaty tires and wheels

Just a little note
I successfully run 285-60-18 Nitto Terra Grappler on Moto Metal 951 aftermarket wheels
No modification done, no serious rub ( little touch on the front black spoiler when cornering and braking hard at very slow speed..... I heard it maybe 5 times in all summer)
Got 16000 miles (26 000km) on the tire's right now, I love the tough look of the tire
Good traction, good wear
Very quiet, no louder than the stock one's
I could not be happier with the result, love the look and feel the wheels and tires gave to my truck
Since I took the picture I remove the running board..... access is much more easy and my truck now look lifted; So they are not going back

Sorry, but do you have any pictures with the running boards removed? I'm thinking of doing that to mine, but not sure.

I'm in the same boat as volvite... I've been kicking around the idea of taking off the running boards as well. I plan to eventually anyways to install rock sliders, but was thinking about going ahead with it now. If it's not too much trouble, could you post a pic without the running boards?
Thanks!

Looking good Rubicon3. Volvite/Gond34, here is a pic of my Pathfinder without the running boards and with 20" wheels with 285/50/20 tires:

goblue90,
Thanks for the picture. That's exactly what I was looking for. I do have one more request, can you take an angle shot from the front and the rear? That way it kind of shows the sides without the running boards. Thanks!!!

Volvite,
It's an unrelated post but check out the pictures towards the end of the first post in my roof rack how-to. It will give the the angles your looking for. It was stock height back then. For what it's worth, the first thing I did to my Pathfinder was remove the side steps...

IcedTeasley,
You come through again. You always seem to have the info I need. Guess I'll just start PMing you first before posting. Ha Ha.
That look is exactly what I want. Looks like the running boards are coming off the pathfinder.

Thanks for the pics!! I've been kicking around the idea of pulling the boards off myself, but am definitely convinced now. It definitely looks much better!

Did you have any issues with the bigger tires as far as gearing? How was the highway acceleration?
