The Nissan Path

Today i decided to start looking up new tires due to My small Business i a'm currently putting everything i need together to Start my Mobile Carwash don't know how that might go but for once i want to be my own boss and deal with some headaches, now i'm looking for some tires for my 2005 pathy that i can use daily for my business and my weekends offroading and ice driving i'm in CA so i like to go out to dirt roads and Icy mountain's and have some safe fun with my family i currently have 245/75 R16 i want to go a little bigger what would you guy's recomend i have a 4" clearance.

Me personal would go with 265/75r16 with Bfg rugged trails or the A/T.

hmm i think i will check those out want them to look nice on the pathy while business and offroad.

I also went with that same size. It fits nicely and gives a more agressive look. I went with Cooper at3 and like them more than the BFG AT I had on my old jeep. But that's just my opinion. I do mostly highway and wanted an agressive tire with good snow capability that wasn't going to be super loud for normal driving.

Another vote for the 265/75/16. BFG if you must, but I much prefer the Goodyear Wrangler both offroad & for great handling in rain and snow (compared to the weak BFG AT in the same conditions). You'll see far more slush or snow in the Sierras than ice.

Be aware some some sizes of BFG AT/KOs are NOT snow rated (I.E. the tread compound will not remain soft and compliant in low temps). If you look at the stats on TireRack you can see which are which...

I just got the cooper discovery stt it is their mt tire and they are awesome. If yôu don't want an mt defiantly go with the cooper at

i'm pretty sure that all bfg all terrains carry the M+S (mud + snow) rating, however there are certain sizes that don't carry the snowflake (severe snow service) which designates -tested- snow performance. apparently the M+S rating is solely based on geometry, not actual snow testing.

so it's not that M+S are not snow "rated", they just haven't be snow tested.

personally though if i'm going to be driving in snowy conditions i want the best snow performance, so make sure it has the snowflake on it.
