Hey guys,

A couple of questions for the guys who have increased tire size... I'm thinking about increasing my tire wall size in hopes that the ride will not be as harsh, so:

1. Have you noticed a difference in ride quality when going up in tire size?
2. Does increased tire size affect speedometer accuracy?

MPH will be off slightly, depending on what size you actually go with.

I didn't think the ride was harsh stock, but then again, I'm coming from a Maxima with 245-40 18's and a Genesis Coupe with 225-40-18's, so the stock tires on the Pathfinder were pillows, and the new ones are even softer.

Seems like a popular size on here is 285-65-18's. Or other thinner variants in the 16,17 and 18" range that are taller than stock.

What size wheels and tires do you have now? On some wheels, there won't be much of a difference (20" wheels, for example).
2. Does increased tire size affect speedometer accuracy?
Depends. It will most likely be noticeable to your "perceived" mpg calculations, but going up a size will likely get your speedo working correctly, as opposed to being off before.
