2011 problem?

What changed for the 11-12 ones where this doesn't happen?

Well, only Calsonic, who makes the radiators, can tell us that. The problem occurs at a seal on the cooler assembly inside the lower tank of the radiator, so, one would assume that they modified this to prevent it from occurring.
