Looking at buying a 2013 Pathfinder or Quest

Does transmission problems affect these models?
They've had transmission and a number of other problems with the 2013 Pathfinder; Consumer Reports ranks them at the bottom of their class. I would recommend a 2015 Subaru Outback or a Toyota Highlander over the 2013 Pathfinder, if that's the type of vehicle you are looking for.
The current Quest is built in Japan and a big improvement over the previous generation. They are big and roomy and expensive, and reliability has been good, but handling not so great. In this class, I would also look at the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey.
