Possible to disable auto-door lock?

I hope there is a way since I am in and out of my 2005 Pathfinder many times each day. Most often, I am in a secure area with no real need to lock up. More troubling is this auto lock activates regardless if the ignition key is in place.

Thanks, Robert

I have a 2008 and in my center infotainment center I can disable the autolock function. Not sure on the earlier models.

I'm jealous because my 2008 doesn't have an auto lock option.

Are you sure? My SV has that option. I'm sure an LE should too.

I don't have it on my '08 SE. There are options for "auto re-lock" and "selective lock" but both of those have to do with how the remote unlocks the car.

I have seen this option programmable by dealers though on other brands so perhaps that's possible? Mine does NOT lock the doors unless I tell it to...which is the way I would prefer it so I've never researched further.

its in the owners manual, If I remember correctly (i'll check when i get home) Its on - off - on hold down lock button till the hazards flash (once for on, twice for off) to disable auto unlock you just hold down the unlock button instead of lock..

if it happens no matter where the key is though, it sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm with "passive arming" selected, do you have an aftermarket remote start / alarm? the instrucitions in my last post were for OEM door locks only. They lock at like 10mph.. and unlock when you take out the key
