Muffler observations

So today I'm under my 2012 Pathy and it looks like we have two mufflers? Is this correct? Looks like a big one then a smaller one near the back of the truck? Why? Seems a bit restrictive?

Two mufflers doesnt inherently make it restrictive. However it does keep the drone with rupturing your eardrums.

Dual mufflers, or mufflers used with resonators, have been used on many vehicles for decades.

I think you are referring to a muffler with resonator. The resonator will help tone the sound of your exhaust.
