The Nissan Path

I have 2010 v6 LE canada. With Intelligent key. So to give a background car battery new (1yr old). Remote key battery(3 day old) energizer batts. I tried opening the car using both keys no response. So i opened the door manually opened fine. Used the manual key to start it just stays in lock. Steering wheel is unlocked. inputs on how to fix this?

Do you mean the car starts with the emergency key, but when you have turned the car off you can't remove it?
