The Nissan Path

Hi. I have a 2009 Nissan Pathfinder. The rear AC stays on full. The rear controls do not work.

Another issue that may or may not be related is that when I crank the car the front AC blows hot air for about 15 seconds or until I hit the auto temp button.

I read this link here, but I've also read the culprit could be the Variable Blower Control (that was in the Nissan Armada forums). I wasn't sure if there was a separate VBC for the rear AC.

The fans are probably stuck in fail safe mode. The rear unit has its own VBC in the back behind the right hand boot panel.

The fans will usually run hot for a few seconds to begin with until the system has time to cool the air, with the AC on in auto mode this will obviously be faster

I changed the rear VBC in my 2008. FYI, front and rear are the same part number. They also changed the design, hopefully for the better.
