The Nissan Path

Hi Guys
So I noticed this wire (broken in half). Looks like it maybe a ground wire? Little bit over a foot in length and connected to the muffler and to a bolt on the body.
Anybody know what this is? And do I need to repair it? I can post a pic if needed.

It's a ground wire. You can repair it or remove it. Either way, you won't notice much difference.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Guess I'll remove it to reduce vehicle weight and improve mpg.
