2012 - key fob replacement

Hello,
Glad there's a forum like this.
I recently determined that my key fob had water damage due to a crack/tear in the button. I thought it might be a battery issue but found the water damage when I inspected the circuit board of the remote. I am wondering if the following would work for my vehicle.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZDYZ74W/
It says mine is covered but I'd like to be sure. Can I program new remotes using the method they suggest (essentially locking vehicle and inserting keys upwards of 6-10 times until the hazards flash : https://youtu.be/30TBRP1Mn5w)?
Thank you for any response.
