wind noise

Have a wind noise, whistling which sounds like its comming from the bottom of the windscreen. Had the car only a week so new to its sounds!
The mirrors seem tight, albiet ive not had them off to see if its that.
The heater flaps seem to open and close ok, and adjusting fan speed or int or ext input makes no difference.
ive a bonnet protector on the fron which i might remove and see if its causing a weird airflow.
im also going to investigate the fact the previous owner has duct taped the drivers side rain skuttle for ??? reason which may mean the air comes in the centre between wiper blade but get stuck??? the carpets not wet or marked so not sure why this has been done.
