Feels like I’m riding on shoulder... sometimes

I have a 2006 Pathfinder with 3in front, 1.75in rear leveling kit, 16†Steelies with 285 75 16 mudding tires, 6x4.5-6x5.5 1.25†spacers, CAI, Gibson Exhaust, and BD Tune. I have been experiencing rumbling sometimes, I thought it was the roads I was on, but not the case. I replaced front u-joints with MOOG super strength about 1,500 miles ago. I drained and filled both front differential and rear differential today. I realized I have a bad ball joint, but I don’t believe that should be the case because sometimes it feels like the car is “slipping†upon acceleration from a standstill. I checked ATF and it was still nice and red. What could be the case? Thanks in advance. (I only have 52k miles)

The only time I've felt that the transmission was slipping during acceleration was when I was low on transmission fluid. Could be a million other things as well, but you might want to check that just in case.

Yeah, mine is also very, very picky about just the right level of ATF. Even 1 ounce makes a notable difference.

You have an 06 you say?

Did you check under the radiator Cap for SMOD?
Strawberry milkshake appearance that indicates ATF from the inline cooler has mixed the with radiator fluid?

Rumble strips are sometimes the first symptom of a dying tranny due to SMOD.

It happens to many models and manufacturers sadly the 05-09 Pathys are especially vulnerable.. to the point where I would not drive one w/o replacing the radiator with aftermarket.
