I thought that R51 Pathfinders were built in Spain and in the USA, however the Australian pathfinder Facebook group are all adamant that they were only ever built in Spain. So is that true?

The R51 Pathfinder was assembled in Barcelona, Spain (2004-2014), in the USA at Smyrna, Tennessee (2005-2012) and in Saint Petersburg, Russia (2012-2014).

All I did was Google-search it:

Thanks for this. I did see the Wiki page but thought it would be better to hear direct from American owners. There are some slight differences between US and Spanish models (at least the ones I gave seen), such as the facelift font appearing two years earlier in the US, more interior trim options, and a different shape to the rear hatch.

Euro models have different head light options. They also don't have the radiator issues like the North American models, however, they do have issues with the rear door handles breaking a lot, which is not an issue on the North American version. Diesel engines and manual transmissions are also options in the Euro models.
