The Nissan Path

For the last few months, I've been driving around with an annoying rattle coming from either the engine compartment or underneath the Pathfinder. The sound comes and goes and cannot really pinpoint when it happens. It is getting aggravating. I've also been to the dealer three times and they cannot seem to recreate the issue. Thanks for any input.

Could be the hood latch or sway bar bushings.

Heat shields?

i'm also having this issue & sounds like that's prob what it is. you need to get under your path & bang around on the heat shields (with safety glasses on) to see if you can recreate the rattle.

Hey everyone. Sorry about taking so ling to respond. After going back n forth to the dealer to have it looked at, I finally figured out that the problem was just a clip hold the exhaust up that was loose. That's what was making the rattling noise under the Pathfinder. Go figure. Lol.

Glad you found it. It's always annoying when it ends up being something so simple.

hi there i had this problem when i bought mypathfinder...it is defintely the hood latch...take blob of grease on your finger and apply it on the bar your hood latch hooks onto this will last along time...it drove me nuts i found this remedy on this site..good luck
