The Nissan Path

Just took my 06 Pathfinder into the dealership because the A/C was not blowing cold enough air. I thought it just needed a re-charge but they told me that they need to replace the rear A/C lines and will have to take the body off to do it.

I read somewhere here that there was a Technical Service Bulletin with another option for this fix that does not require taking the body off but I can't find it. Can anyone provide me with a link to this please?

I'm not aware of any TSB Nissan released for this problem, but there was a TSB regarding "O" ring connections. If the rear AC pipe is leaking only in one spot, the line can be repaired using an AC line repair kit. Dorman #800-600 is one such kit.

I remember someone posting about something like this where they replaced metal lines with appropriate rubber lines. What I don't remember is if it was related to the rear heat or the rear air... maybe a search or two will find it... I've had very mixed results with searching the site... Sorry...

I had to get mine replaced and I asked them to take pics. They have to split the body from the frame enough to gain access.....

That just looks like WAY too much fun!
