The Nissan Path

Can anyone tell me exactly where the heater core is located on a 2013 Pathfinder? I get about 140 degrees out of the dash vents but only 120 degrees out of the floor vents. That doesn't cut it in Michigan. The dealer is trying to tell me the path for the air flow is further to the floor vents than the dash vents and that causes the difference. That sounds like BS to me. If anything I would think the floor vent path is shorter.

The heater core is in the heating and cooling unit behind the dash. If it's like most late model Nissans, you have to pull out the whole dashboard to get to it.

Would you have any idea why the heat coming out of the floor vents would be colder than the heat coming out of the dash vents?
