Hello all!

I'm a bit new this forum thing, so please excuse any mistakes I may make.

I recently bought a 1989 SE V6 4X4. The car is extremely stock. That's including the deck and speakers. I bought a alpine deck for it and an adapter kit. Installing the deck was relatively easy. The deck seems to turn off and back on again every time I turn up the sound. I have read that the stock speakers cant handle the power the deck is giving them, and in return the deck is shutting itself off to prevent blowing the speakers.

My question is, how do I get to the speakers on the door and in the rear?

Thank you for your help!!!

You need to remove the door panels for the front speakers. My memory isn't the best, but I believe you have to remove the side panels to access the rear speakers. If you get your speakers from Crutchfield, they give you the instructions and wiring adapters.

The back panels, do they snap in? I don't see any screws... Is there a special type of tool I might need? Thank you!

They have metal clips that snap into the body. A panel tool would be the correct tool, but you can get away with a flat blade screwdriver or even a putty knife if you're careful.

The back ones were kind of a pain, I ended up havinf the panels half-off while I popped my speakers in there.
Front is pretty easy with manual window, idk about auto
