spoiler plastic and aluminum

Hey there.
I recently took off the spoiler (wind deflector) off of my '95 Pathfinder to strip and power coat it along with a bunch of other exterior accessories. The large aluminum deflector holds two small heavy plastic pieces with a pin-in-hole arrangement. My service manual doesn't show how they are bonded together because the service manual doesn't show this part at all. Does anyone know they are bonded? Glue, tape, magic, etc?
