Please help. Drive indicator light and check engine light

Hello. I have a 92 Nissan Pathfinder SE. The check engine light and gear indicator light near the guages comes off and on intermittently. I just had a new alternator installed because the last one fried the regulator. I have checked all the fuses under the steering wheel and all seem good. The code the exam is throwing is 51, an injector fault code, but all injectors are working. The engine light comes on typically when I slow down and goes off when when I drive for a while, but sometimes stays on or off for longer periods of time.brand new O2 sensor, plugs and wires installed. What could cause the drive gear light to go off and on while driving? Thanks for looking and appreciate any help.
