So far everything I've read indicates that 33's are ok as long as the rims are offset properly. On a stock suspension bumps will hit the tires on the fender well and if the offset has the 12.5's sticking out past the fender (probably will) you can hit and damage the fender flares. Steering is also limited due to fender rub and fenderwell rub. I forget the correct offset/backspacing, when I find it I'll post it here, but if you have that right, you have a couple of options. one would be to do a mild lift (Which looks pretty awesome). 1.5"-2.5" will do it without making it too unstable in corners. Another would be to have a body shop cut out the fenders a bit. That would likely stick you with buying some larger aftermarket fender flares. I've seen it done and flares left off too. It's not too bad looking but it's illegal here in Utah. I'm not sure about other states.

Oh and don't forget to have the torsion bars adjusted to level it.

As promised: Wheel backspacing should be 3"-3.5". A decent 4X4 shop might not even charge to take a quick look and see what would be recommended. 3.5" seems to be the most popular

Someone posed a link to this video which looks about how you would want to set it up:

well i took all the extras off the step bars fender flares and tire carrier and i maxed out the keys on the front and put coil spring spacers in the back and lifted it about 3 inches and then the tires fitted. there on there now and i have virtually no rubbing when i turn the tires all the way to the right or left i have about half an inch space between the tire and the frame. there workin good now but i have to get new tires cuz these ones are on the baald sie but they did fit so new 33 should fit i was thinkin bout gettin 33x12.50r15 maxxis buckshot mudders.

I just put a 3 inch body lift on my 94 and have 33/12.50/15 on the stock legos. With just having that and everything else stock, all it rubs is the factory mud flaps and that's just when making a sharp turn.
