I know this is not the place for electrical problems but I've heard 1990 paths have this problem so I bet someone had to have this problem too. I bought a 1990 path a week ago and cluster light, fuel gauge, and temp. gauge does not work! Fog light does not work either! I checked the fuses but no luck there. any suggestion? I've heard something about cluster voltage regulator but what is that?

where you fuzes are on the lower left hand side of the drivers seat(under stearing columb) you will see your typical fuses, now just above it there are 2-3 relays, ie little blue square boxes about 3/4inch square. 99% of the time the relay died, you can pick one up for 30-40 dollars, or do what i do and hit junkyard and grab 10 or so for $5.00 totall

either way its that relay, i think its the second from the left. an easy test is swap it with the relay next to it.

funny story the only way i found this out was it happened to me in mexico, and i could not find out what was causing it, i paid a couple dollars us, and the roadside mechanic troubleshooted it with a piece of wire and a christmas light Oo

the sad part is im a electrical engineer, and couldnt figure it out lol

for my 89 pathfinder I just bought the temp or gas gauge wasn't working so I replaced the voltage regulater for the cluster gauge that I could only find at a dealer..that fixed the problem
