hey and one ever do a frame swap on the 94 pathfinder. new trucks frame has bad rust and bad auto trans parts truck has good frame and a 5spd. any thoughts or tips would be great

It's a lot easier if you have a lift. Start by removing the front clip, (bumper, lamps, grille, hood, fenders) then unbolt the body. Use the lift to lift the body off the frame.

Once you roll the frame out from under the body put both frames side by side to swap the engine, suspension, fuel tank, harness and lines.

Once everything is swapped, roll the frame back under the body and start re-assembling everything.

dont have a lift. will the whole front clip come off from the firewall forward?

also is there is difference in the frames from 88 to 94. putting a 88 frame under a 94 body

The inner structure (aprons) will still be there but it's best to take the fenders off. When you lift the body off the frame the nose of the vehicle can flex and cause paint damage to the sheet metal if the fenders flex into the doors.

Without a lift I'd say get as much help as possible to lift the body off. You'll need to have a place ready to set it down without doing any damage to it.

As far a frame year differences I don't know.

oh cool thanks ill make sure the trucks in good shape so i want to keep the paint nice. ya i will be leaving it up in the air and and just roll the frame in and out.
