how do I fold the rear seats forward in my 1990 Pathfinder?

Just got this 1990 Pathfinder for a song...according to the owners manual the rear seats fold forward allowing the seatbacks to lie flat when folded down...manual says "pull strap", for the life of me I can't find a strap...can someone please help with this silly problem? thanks
