EGRC-BPT Valve(more info re first post)

Still looking for the EGRC-BPT valve, my engine diagram shows a hose from bottom of the EGRC-BPT valve going over to tie into the EGR valve. My EGR valve has a small entry at base of the valve that presently has an allen screw in it thereby plugging it off. Is it possible a previous owner has discarded the EGRC-BPT valve and plugged off the hole in the base of the EGR valve and how would this affect the pathfinders performance? I have passed emission tests with flying colours. Still dazed and confused.
