What is the recommended oil for a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder with almost 149,000 miles on it (Had about 147,000 when I got it and the oil had been changed)? Should I use 5W or go heavier with a 10W oil?

The "W" is a winter viscosity rating, so the "10W" is only a thicker viscosity at cold temperatures when compared to a "5W." That said, 5W30 is recommended by Nissan for all temperatures.
