1993 suspension noise

Hey everyone, I just got a 93 Pathfinder and I notice a sort of popping noise from the suspension when going over stuff. Is it normal to hear that, or could there be a problem?

Alright, so I guess you're saying that's not normal? This is my first truck, I'm used to cars and not hearing any noises going over bumps and things. I know a lot of trucks make a bit of noise, but wasn't sure if that's normal or not. Thank you.smj999smj wrote:Of course there could be a problem... The only way to know is to make a thorough inspection and isolate the exact cause of the noise. If it happens during hard turns, grease the steering stops on the lower control arms. Otherwise, check your shocks and torsion bars, stabilzer bar bushings and links and for frame rot. Also would be a good idea to check your ball joints and steering linkage.
I don't notice it on the road, but when the suspension has to flex enough for a speedbump or dips, I notice that sort of pop sound.mar1 wrote:didnt these models come with a limit strap ?
is it only on sharp speedbumps, or any ?
