I am trying to find the idle control valve searched for the last 6 hours dont know what it looks like or where the damn thing is .

also on another thread someone referenced a thermal wax unit . I have no idea where it is or what it looks like, i knoiw what it does now (thanks to reading) but i cant find these damn parts

I am ranting cause i hate working on vehicles . and I have a short temper please some one take some photos of these parts so I know what the hell im looking at .

16394J: This is the "thermal wax," referred to as a "PTC" in the parts diagram. The "wax" expands and contracts with changes in temperature, and causes a plunger to move in or out. If you look at the housing for it, #16394, you can see the two nipples on it for the coolant hoses. Coolant blows into the chamber and out the other hose. As you can see, the PTC is mounted to the throttle body.

Ok thanks for the reply, i pulled the part and the metal piece that is in the stopper (16394j) was gummed up and not moving , so I pulled on it and now it moves in and out as if there was a spring in there,

did I break it or fix it? , If i broke i will get a new one , if i cleand it and fixed it i will put it back and see if the problem is fixed.

ok so I picked up the wax kit from the dealership today. and I know where it goes but can someone give me an idea on how to install it . the sheet that came with the part says to install to the carb. with in 10 seconds
