The Nissan Path

I'm looking to put a new engine in my 95 path. I want some power, yet somewhat decent mpg. any suggestions?

The VG33E swap is fairly easy from an R50 Pathfinder or older Frontier truck. It'll give you about 10 more horsepower and a little more torque. Gas mileage will probably be about the same. Anything else will require a lot more work.
