I bought a 1992 WD-21 4wd 5 spd in NC and want to flat tow to Florida is there anything I should know about flat towing them ? Or what not to do ?
I am totally new to Nissan and know enough about the breed to be dangerous !
My knowledge is Jeeps. Any help is appreciated.

Since it's a manual trans, you'll be ok. Just make sure it's in "neutral!" I know that sounds like common sense, but years ago I was working in a Nissan dealer and a couple came in that was towing their Sentra with a SR20DE and a 5-spd behind their motorhome. Unfortunately, they left the trans in 1st gear and the engine was spinning so fast that it finally blew a piston apart and put the rod out the bottom of the oil pan!
Thanks

Thanks for the reply and you are correct:
I did some searching and found this answer : Per Nissan
1992 - 2004 MANUAL TRANS 4 wd can be flat towed out of gear with transfer case in 2 wd hi :
up to 60 mph for 500 miles and then engine must be started and idled for a couple of minutes for lubrication purposes
Flat towing a automatic is a no no
