Why am I still overheating?

Hello all,
I have a 91 nissan pathfinder and I am having a weird overheating issue. At first it would only overheat when the car was off, (I would drive it to wherever and it would shake a little or "stutter" but it made it, but after letting it sit for awhile, i would come back to a car that was overheated)
One fine day, it decided to just overheat on me constantly... limped it home and changed the thermostat, flushed the system, and replaced the radiator cap. It definitely got better, but it still overheats (especially after its turned off). Any ideas at all?

If it overheats while idling or at slow speeds, but is okay when driving on a highway or freeway, the problem may be a bad fan clutch. If that's not it, it could be one of several possibilities. Make sure the airflow is not restricted passing through the AC condensor and radiator; look for bent fins, leaves or debris, etc. Another possibility would be a clogged radiator. Another possibility could be a bad head gasket.

what the hell is this called?

Ok, so I damaged the "washer" that goes over the timing belt on the crankshaft gear. Any ideas on what this is called so I can track one down?

I think you are referring to the crankshaft drive sprocket guide plate, Nissan P/N: 13022-V5001. It's only $2 from Nissan. Refer part code "13021F" in the diagram linked below:
