All dash lights took a dive at one time, no fuses blown.. Has anyone else experienced this maybe that could point me in the right direction ?
I put a new headlight multi switch in because I know they can cause gremlins to happen, but it made no change or difference.

I realize that I'm probably stating the obvious but here it goes: did you forget to plug something back in when you put everything back together? There is a whole mess of wires and connectors back there that all look similar. Maybe pull the cluster out and check the two (three?) connectors on the right side at the back. There may be another connector back there that is for another model which isn't actually plugged into anything.

Thanks, but no... the dash lights went out and I checked fuses and they were good, so since I know the headlight multi switch can be a problem and it was so old I replaced it hoping the problem would be there.
So I guess the next move will be to remove cluster and check things there. Thanks for your reply

Any chance the illumination control got set to dim? I know that sounds kind of simple, but I've seen it happen before.

That was one of the first things I checked and it was all the way up, but I do have a question for you.. Is that dimmer prone to problems or have you known of them going bad and causing lights to go out ?

They have been problems with the illumination switches in Nissans in the 90's, especially in Sentras and Altimas. Most of the time they'll cause the lights to flicker on and off.
