Lifting my 87?

Hello all,
I have a 87 pathy 4x4 v6 auto that recently bought. I love the thing so far and want to start working towards making it more of a trail rig. was wondering what everyone thought about lifts? Body? Suspension? Both? Pros and cons would be nice. I was also wondering if anyone out there has used one of the cheaper lifts like this one

everything else is running close to 1000.
i know solid axle swap is the best way to go but i am looking for something more practical until i can save for that and so i can explore my new hobby some more before biting off that much.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
