1997 pathfinder starting problem

i have a 97 pathfinder that when ever i go to start it when the car has been sitting for over an hour, it takes about 10 seconds to turn over and i need to hit the gas as i crank it for it to turn over. when i turn the car off for a few mins, it starts perfect. CEL comes on and off for an EVAP code but starts the same way with it on or off.
i was going to smoke test it, just havent had a chance yet.
Any ideas? need your help
Did full tune-up, fuel pump, fuel filter, pcv valve already.
only has 117k miles
