Rear differential offset

When I put a straight edge vertically against the rear tires and measure to the body, the distance it +1 inch on the passenger side compared to the same measurement on drivers side. I just had all four rear trailing arms replaced and it seams like the rear end is moving around at highway speeds when I tip into the accelerator or get off the gas.
It tracks good and straight at steady state speeds on the highway, but is really twitchy when accelerating or decelerating. The "death roll" was cured with the control arm replacements but this other issue has come up.
Is there anyone else out there experience anything like this?
Thanks
