Softer Ride - 2004 Pathfinder

I just got a great deal on my father's 2004 Nissan Pathfinder when he upgrade to a larger truck. The only problem is the ride is stiffer than I'd prefer. It does not bottom out or anything, it's just I'm not planing on doing any off-road or towing, etc.

Would changing out the struts - he still has originals - help, or does anyone know how to make it have more comfortable/softer car like ride?

Unless one or more of the struts/shocks is seized and not compressing, new shocks and struts are more likely to make your ride firmer, not softer. Worn out struts/shocks will cause result is a softer, "bouncier" ride. Because of the unibody chassis, the R50 was a bit less harsh that the previous and later WD21 and R51 Pathfinders, which had a body-on-frame design. Choice of tires and making sure not to over-inflate them can make a big difference.
