Anybody else have this issue? I know 2 other owners and they have had the same issue. I have a 2003 SE with 31,000 miles and had it happen.

Just wanted to see if there are others.

Thanks

don't know about yours but I have a 2001. the "resonator" fell off. With the model I have the muffler is first and the resonator last. Very strange thing, I never ever in many years of being a garage mechanic seen this before. I simply cut off at the "muffler" used a T-pipe and ran the proper setup resonator, then muffler. all 2.5" (stock is 1.75" into muffler than 2" back"

just do a catback custom built it is way cheaper than models online. all you need is 4' of straight and 2 90* bends with a muffler and resonator

it's probable happens because of the metal used for the exhaust. the moisture in the pipe just ate away at it over time. it happens to alot of vehicles manufactured around from 1992-2004.

Yep - this happened to my 03

Had to get the pipe snipped and a section replaced. The erosion happened toward the back end.

Was explained to me as a common occurrence.
