The Nissan Path

So I believe our 02 pathfinder has a worn out rubber Exhaust Bracket silencer. When the exhaust rattles around and gets shaken around something on it hits the chassis causing a metal clanking noise that's loud and annoying. Anyone have the actual part number? The one I found (20651-65f00) only brings up 1 result online which looks to be the right piece but the site wants a mass stock order instead of a single piece order. I'll get photos and I'll try to even get the video I have posted this afternoon of the part and metal banging noise created.

Deanster .. I've followed this thread and wondering if I have the same issue (01SE)

When braking/decelerating . there seems to be this racket coming from under the car. Braking seems true and no real steering wheel shimmy.

Mechanics say they see nothing loose under car (heat shield was patched up last year) .. so wondering if maybe the part you're focusing on might be responsible for the noise I'm hearing and feeling somewhat.

I'll post a photo of what's causing my problem along with a simple way to test it when I get home later this afternoon and hope it helps you.

It's become an issue as the alternative is to start replacing metal (rotors/drums, etc) with no real feel for what the real cause is.

Oh yours is breaking and decelerating? Didn't see that the first time I read it. Does it do it if you decelerate by just letting off the gas or only if the breaks are applied?

when brakes are applied .. but I'm thinking the relationship could just be the rapidness of the deceleration (coming off a 65mph highway) and not the brakes.

Maybe I'll try decelerating with the clutch only 2nit (after rev match) to see what happens

I would think if rotor I'd feel a lot more steering wheel shimmy
