The Nissan Path

Started up my 2001 pathfinder the other morning and about 2 minutes after starting it up, with the heater on low, I heard a loud grinding noise coming from the passenger side, under the glove box...in that general area. Has anyone else heard this noise with the a/c or heater on? After hearing the noise, i turned off the Pathfinder, restarted it and the noise was gone. Would love some imput. Thanks!

Well, that's the location of the blower fan. Perhaps you had something stuck in the blower cage, like a plastic wrapper or leaves?

Is there a way to get to that from engine compartment, to check and see if there is any debris??
