Installing Steering Wheel Adapter help

Hello,
I installed an aftermarket pioneer x5700hbs head unit which works fine. I want to retain the steering wheel controls and I bought a PAC SWI-RC adapter but I am not sure how to install it, online instructions were not helpful. Anyone tried doing this?
