Aftermarket fuel gauge

2003 Pathfinder;Fuel gauge quit working.Had at the dealer and they misdiagnosed it three times.Claimed fuel pump,then sending unit;finally gauge, after i told them fuel gauge was erratic.Can I install an aftermarket one?
