replace front pads and rotors

Recommendations for front pad and rotor replacement gear. Should I go with whatever NTB is putting on there ( it seems like this would be the worst choice - the last ones squeaked a lot). Rock Auto has 3 types for sale, a daily driver, performance and truck and tow (which I really don't need). Other suggestions?

I use Akebono Pro ACT ceramics on my R51 Pathfinders. The original pads are made by Hitachi, but Akebono has been an OE supplier of brake parts to Nissan for as long as I can remember and then some. They perform and fit like original equipment, don't give off a lot of dust and are quiet, plus come with new hardware and shims, in most applications.
Raybestos Professional Series and Professional Series Advanced Technology are also very good. I've used them in many non-Nissan applications and have been impressed.
For rotors, don't go too cheap or you'll get a rotor that warps in a short amount of time; stick with a reputable brand. I've use both Wagner and Raybestos Professional Series Advanced Technology rotors on my R51s and have had no issues with either.

I've been pretty happy with Wagner Thermo Quiet pads and shoes from O'Reilly.

I went with the Centrics posi-quiet pads and Centrics premium rotors from Rock Auto. So far they seem pretty good. Thanks for the help.

I just changed over to Raybestos rotors and Akebono pads. The centrics were done!

I'd say the performance with the new hardware is better than the centric, but also cost about $150 more.

I bought the Centrics daily driver (not the value ones) pads and premium rotors from RockAuto. Happy with them so far. My nephew works in a garage and he says they only use Centric because they are a good value for the garage and the customer.

Labor Day I installed Wagner TheroQuiet pads on the front of my daughter's '98 Pathfinder, it was time. I did not replace or re-machine the rotors, they looked good.

I also just installed Wagner OEX pads on front of Mrs. Cusser's 2005 Yukon.

I got the Wagner OEX on my 2008 Pathfinder. They've been on about two months and so far, so good. They seem to stop a little better than the Akebono PRO Act Ceramics they replaced, but those had 90,000 miles on them and were badly cracked, so I can't say it's a fair comparison based on that. I don't drive the '08 enough to get a good comparo to my '06. I can say I got my money's worth out of the Akebono's, however!

front pads spreader springs

I just did my second brake job at 104K.
The new pads don't have holes for the spreader springs.
the Factory service manual doesn't even show the spreader springs.
So do I not worry about this ?
Is this a year dependent part ?

Thanks Ian

They aren't necessary and won't affect the braking ability. What they do is help push the pads off of the brake rotor when the brake pedal is released, to help decrease the chances of brake squeak.

Thanks.
BTW it's 140k so 80 to 90K on these pads.
