I have a 1997 Pathfinder and I need to know if a 1999 bumper fits mine. or do i have to modify?

1999 was a split year. Up to VIN # -350000 was the 99 model and -350001 and up was the 99.5 model refresh and had a new front fascia and grille, among other changes. The 99 bumper should work, but I'm not sure how the 99.5 model bumper will work; they are two different part #'s. Production break is 12/98.
