Should I buy?

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here but quickly falling for the Pathfinders. I just sold my truck and need to get something for commuting ASAP. So what ever i get needs to be reliable... and hopefully at least a lil fun on the weekends

I found the below listing and would really like to know what you guys think.

The price doesn't sound out of line, but, like any used car purchase, one can't make an accurate assessment without actually inspecting the vehicle. I would recommend you have a reputable auto mechanic check it over before you purchase.

Thanks for the advice! I was more or less wondering though, if everything did checkout could I rely on it for many years to come? With regular maintenance of course. Or is this engine and tranny past its prime.

Mileage doesn't have anything to do with the condition of an engine. You can destroy a brand new motor in 10 miles, and you can have a good running motor at 250,000 miles. It all depends on the conditions. Did the oil get changed regularly? Ever ran low on oil? Correct oil type? Red line all the time? Overheating? No air filter? These things are 100,000 times more important to an engine than that little mileage counter on the dash. No amount of basic maintenance will restore a worn out neglected motor to good condition. No good motor will last long without good basic maintenance.
