Lift kit options

I have an 01 SE. New rear springs, and a 2" lift kit (puck).

Question:

Im thinking about going a little higher, with the rubber things that go between the coils to boost height up a little (1/2 inch or so).

Im running manual hubs in the front, so the extra height wont trash the front drive shafts, but is there any other problem with going above 2" on the R50?

Thanks.

Personal experience; If you try to get too much lift from your springs but, stay with the stock shocks you will damage the shocks. Instead of bottoming out you will experience "topping out". The internals of the shock will slam up against the shaft seal and you will lose all of the oil and gas charge from the shock. In the back it's pretty easy to find a longer shock with the mounts that you need. Not so easy in the front. There you're much better off to use a spacer between the upper strut mount and the body instead of a spacer for the spring.

THAT didn't even sound like a serious question so, I'll ignore it. BUTT, you, on the other hand, sound really cool Daddy-0. SO,, If you turn up the volume on your radio you might not even notice that metal to metal "clunk" sound as you get air over a bump. If you DO notice it then you are at "too much."
