I finally was able to do an oil change on my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder SE in which it was way over due for one, when I got under the car I notice that the sway bar links bushings were broken (in which looked ripped). I got my friend telling me that I have to switch the whole suspension in which I notice that the control arms are not damaged. My question is do I really have to switch the whole suspension? Can I just switch the links, what are some really good ones in where I can get the bang for my buck. Please help, any model and recommendations will be helpful.

Front sway bar links are no big deal. Go to Rockauto.com and you can get improved versions with grease fittings on them. I would recommend either the Moog K90659 @ $17.31 each, not including shipping nor 5% discount if you insert a code which can be easily found using a Google search, or Mevotech Supreme MK90659 @ $10.05 each. Moog is usually the best when it comes to suspension components.
I have no idea what your friend is talking about.

Thank you so much!!!! Especially for not damaging my pocket hahaha, do I need to get any additional hardware for it? Such as bushings?

Any recommendations on bushings? The OEM ones are ripped.

As far as sway bar mount bushings, I would stick with Nissan, as they have been updated to move the split to a different location to prevent the bar from knocking against the cross member and they are inexpensive.
